There are quite a few logo design artists who have changed history through their logo design creations. Their logo designs have given a new face and identity to their brands and have made them legends.

Paul Rand (1914- 1996) – IBM:
Paul Rand was an American graphic designer who created the famous IBM logo design in 1972 after the company came to him to revamp their brand image by creating a new logo. Paul Rand is also famous for his logo designs for UPS and NEXT.

Raymond Loewy (1893-1986) - The shell
Raymond Loewy is best known for his designs for steam locomotives and refrigerators. He also designed the famous shell logo in 1967 when the company came to him with a problem that their logo was indistinguishable from a distance.

Frank Mason Robinson (1845- 1923) - Coca Cola:
The famous coca cola logo is created by Frank Mason Robinson in 1885 who is actually known as a very important marketer in his time. Frank Mason Robinson was initially Coca Cola drink’s inventor, John Pemberton's, book keeper. Since he also had an excellent penmanship, he was also the creator of the font style Spencerian Script that is used in the Coca Cola logo.

John J. Graham (1923 – 1994) - NBC
John J. Graham was an American graphic designer who created the NBC logo in 1956. It is an image of an eleven featured peacock. Since then the NBC logo has been altered quite a few times but the symbol of the peacock has been retained by the network to cherish its roots.

Jerry Siegel (1914- 1996) - The Superman Logo
Jerry Siegel created the Superman Logo, the logo to represent the fictional super hero Superman. Superman was the first hero of his kind to wear an emblem on his costume and has since been followed by many superheroes like Batman, Spiderman etc. But despite that, the Superman logo is one of the most famous logos in the world depicting power, justice and authority.

Carolyn Davidson - Nike
The world’s most famous symbol, the Nike swoosh is created by the famous logo design artist Carolyn Davidson in 1971. The Nike Swoosh on the most popular logo design of all time. The company takes its name from the Greek Goddess of victory, Nike. The logo is the image of wing of the Goddess. Since then, the Nike logo has remained totally unchanged. The company only plays with the colors but the basic Nike design is always the same.
